Russia Will Respond Harshly, Says Russian Foreign Ministry
Moscow will respond harshly to the invasion of the Russian Embassy's school premises by the Polish authorities in Warsaw, according to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"Such a brazen act by Warsaw, which is outside the framework of civilized inter-state communication, will not go without our harsh response and consequences for the Polish authorities and Polish interests in Russia. The initiators of such provocative undertakings must understand this," the statement reads.
The ministry emphasized that these hostile actions by the Polish authorities violate the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
It is noted that this morning, representatives of the Warsaw city hall, accompanied by police, broke the gate of the Russian Embassy’s school and entered the building. Employees of the educational institution have been given until 19:00 to vacate the premises.
