Azerbaijan Will Create Conditions for Movement of Armenians via Lachin Road: Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has commented on the information regarding the establishment of a checkpoint on the border with Armenia, stating that "Azerbaijan will create all conditions for the movement of Armenians via the Lachin road."

According to the ministry’s statement, as part of the additional measures taken in accordance with the commitments outlined in the trilateral declaration, "this is a security guarantee by the Republic of Azerbaijan for the movement of citizens, vehicles, and goods along the Lachin road." It will create the necessary conditions for the transparent and regulated crossing of Armenian residents living in the Nagorno-Karabakh region in both directions to and from Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry emphasized that the control mechanism will be implemented in cooperation with the Russian peacekeeping forces.
