Why didn't you pursue or recognize the independence of Artsakh? Rubinyan to the ARF members
Vice President of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan responded to the criticisms from the ARF members of the ‘Hayastan’ faction regarding why the authorities are not pursuing the right to self-determination for Artsakh. “Dear ARF, when you have been part of the parliamentary coalition, why didn’t you pursue or recognize the independence of Artsakh? Tell me. Mr. Manukyan said it was to negotiate. Hmmm, if the right to self-determination is an inalienable, non-withdrawable right, dear friends, why were you prepared to negotiate over the rights of our compatriots in Artsakh?”
Rubinyan also pointed out that in negotiations, something was thought, something was said, and something was done: “Even basic things — our terminology hasn’t been developed.”
