The Issue of Kyiv's NATO Membership Will Be Resolved After the War, Says German Defense Minister
“The decision on Ukraine’s membership in NATO can only be made after the war unleashed against it by Russia has ended,” stated German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius. “The door to NATO is open for Kyiv, but now is not the time for such decisions,” Pistorius announced.
“First, it is necessary to repel the Russian offensive, and only then, in a new era, should we carefully consider that step,” emphasized Pistorius. “The question of Ukraine’s membership in NATO should be decided with a cool head and a warm heart, not the other way around,” he added.
