Photography: Production Activities of Public Food Establishment Suspended

The inspectors of the State Service for Food Safety of Armenia's Center for Yerevan discovered during an inspection at a public food establishment belonging to individual entrepreneur Arsen Harutyunyan (on Arshakunyats Avenue) that it operates with gross violations of sanitary and hygienic norms established by legal acts.

Specifically, the food establishment is neither designed, constructed, nor located in a way that allows for proper care, cleaning, and disinfection, thus preventing dirt accumulation. The walls of the kitchen do not have smooth surfaces and are not maintained in a renovated condition; the surfaces of the raw material preparation tables and food cutting and processing shelves have not undergone proper cleaning and disinfection, are not smooth, and are not constructed of materials that meet hygiene requirements. The raw materials and ingredients are not stored in conditions that ensure protection against contaminants, and the food establishment lacks hot water.

By the decision of the head of the inspection body, the production activities of the public food establishment have been suspended, and a deadline has been set for the elimination of the identified violations.
