27 Bridges, 12 Tunnels: Sanosyan on the Interstate Road to Iran
The Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Gnel Sanosyan, provided details in the National Assembly about the construction progress of the interstate road to Iran.
“We announced a competition for 60 km earlier, but it is a complex and lengthy competition, and we are still in that phase. The 60 km will be a new road, a complex section with 27 bridges and 12 tunnels, one of which is 8.6 km long. It is quite significant; there is currently no such complex project in the region.
As for the southern section of 32 km, I expect we will complete this in a month. We already have participants in the competition, the winning company is identifiable, and we are now in the document verification phase. If everything goes well, we will finish in a month,” he said.
