Textbooks for Armenian History Subject to Change Starting September, Says Minister

Starting this September, the textbooks for the Armenian history subject will be changed. This information was revealed by Minister Zhanna Andreasyan while presenting the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports' performance for 2022 to the National Assembly.

“I am hopeful that we will have significantly improved quality textbooks, and for that purpose, we have tried to create as competitive an environment as possible. We have completely changed the rules for creating and publishing textbooks, so that the field is opened up and many participants can join,” said the minister.

According to Andreasyan, the ministry will have the opportunity to choose a textbook that meets the requirements of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.

It should be noted that according to the decision of the Ministry, starting this year, the subject of “History of the Armenian Church” will no longer be a separate subject and will be included in the “Armenian History” textbook.
