Vazgen Tevanyan Wins 4-1 Against Azerbaijani Opponent

In the ongoing Wrestling European Championship in Zagreb, Croatia, Vazgen Tevanyan from Armenia has triumphed over his Azerbaijani rival with a score of 4-1, advancing to the semifinals. This information was reported by the press service of the Armenian Wrestling Federation.

Recall that in the opening round, Armenian representative Arman Avagyan (79 kg) won his first match against Bulgarian Mihail Iliev Gergiev with a score of 5-1.

In the 65 kg weight category, Vazgen Tevanyan also claimed a significant victory, defeating Israeli Joshua Stuart Finesilver with a score of 10-0.

The Wrestling European Championship is being held from April 17 to 23.

Armenia is represented by Manvel Khndzrtsyan (57 kg), Arsen Harutyunyan (61 kg), Vazgen Tevanyan (65 kg), Arman Andreasyan (70 kg), Hrayr Alikhanian (74 kg), Arman Avagyan (79 kg), Mushegh Mkrtchyan (86 kg), and Sergey Sargsyan (97 kg).
