China Raises Troops to High Combat Readiness

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army has raised its troops to high combat readiness due to the passage of the USS Milius, a United States Navy destroyer, through the Taiwan Strait. This was announced by Shi Yin, a spokesperson for the Eastern Theater Command. According to Lenta.ru referencing Xinhua news agency, he stated that the American destroyer has crossed the Taiwan Strait, provoking significant public response.

Shi Yin noted that the American ship was monitored throughout its route. He added, "The troops are at a high level of combat readiness and are determined to defend national sovereignty and security, as well as the peace and stability of the region."
