Russia Hopes for Swift Signing of Peace Agreement Between Armenia and Azerbaijan: Matviyenko
During a press briefing following the meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS in St. Petersburg, Valentina Matviyenko stated that the Russian Federation has done everything possible and continues to do what it can to finalize a peace agreement.
“Russia has done and continues to do everything possible so that a peace agreement is signed as quickly as possible within the framework of the tripartite agreement that was signed in due time by the leaders of the three countries. We hope that this will happen as soon as possible,” she emphasized.
It is noteworthy that the 55th plenary session of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly is taking place in St. Petersburg, with the participation of Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan.
