Charges Filed Against Woman Who Threw Umbrella at PM Pashinyan
On April 11, a woman named Narine Asatryan was charged after throwing an umbrella towards Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the village of Malishka, Vayots Dzor region. This was reported by the Investigative Committee.
The charge was filed under Article 44-452, Part 3 of the Criminal Code (Interference with the lawful official or political activities of a public official). The same remand measure applies, prohibiting her from leaving.
According to the police report, the 47-year-old woman attempted to exert violence against Nikol Pashinyan by throwing the umbrella in his direction, failing to comply with the lawful demands of the police. She was arrested and later released.
A criminal case has been initiated in the Vayots Dzor regional investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee under Article 44-452, Part 3 (Interference with the lawful official or political activities of a public official). Currently, Nikol Pashinyan has no status in this proceeding.
