Closure of Bread Production Facility
Inspectors from the Ministry of Health's Food Safety Inspectorate in the Syunik regional center conducted an inspection at a bread (lavash) production facility owned by individual entrepreneur Leno Harutyunyan and discovered numerous violations of legal regulations (Syunik region, Shinuayr village):
In particular, the design, structure, and layout of the production building did not prevent the intrusion of animals, including rodents and insects, leading to the accumulation of dirt and the development of mold. The floors and walls were not made from waterproof, washable materials, and cleaning, washing, and disinfection of production facilities, technological equipment, and inventory were not carried out. The food raw materials and components used in food preparation were not stored under acceptable conditions.
The food facility lacked changing rooms for the staff, while personal and production clothing was stored within the production area. There were no washbasins, and the staff had not undergone mandatory periodic medical examinations.
The production activities of the facility have been suspended and a deadline has been set for rectifying the identified violations.
