Peskov Talks about NATO's Inconveniences for Russia
The press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, has commented on the expansion of NATO's military infrastructure. He addressed journalists during a daily briefing.
“NATO is expanding towards Russia's borders. This movement causes us discomfort, and we are concerned about our security. Naturally, we are taking measures to ensure it,” said Peskov.
The president's press secretary had stated the day before that Finland's entry into the North Atlantic Alliance does not strengthen security in Europe but instead creates a threat to the Russian Federation. According to Peskov, the situation regarding Finland's membership creates preconditions for strengthening Russia's security.
