Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused the United States of provoking the current crisis in Ukraine through its support for color revolutions. In a ceremony for the presentation of credentials to foreign ambassadors in Russia, Putin stated, "The use of such tools in the United States' foreign policy as support for so-called color revolutions contributed to the degradation of Russian-American relations in 2014," addressing US Ambassador Lyn Tracy.
