Azerbaijanis Announce Entry Will Only be Permitted with Acceptance of Azerbaijani Citizenship: Artsakh State Minister

Azerbaijanis have closed the route for the Armenian population of Artsakh and announced that entry will only be permitted upon acceptance of Azerbaijani citizenship. This was stated by Artsakh State Minister Gurgen Nersisyan during a broadcast on Public TV.

“Azerbaijan has changed the purpose and motivation for closing the road. This is an obvious provocation by the Azerbaijanis, as they have not only tried to obstruct entry into Stepanakert but are also trying to create an atmosphere of fear,” Nersisyan emphasized.

He denied the Azerbaijani side's claims that they have shown humanitarianism and have transferred women to an emergency medical facility whose condition deteriorated due to their intrusion with vehicles.
