In Artsakh, the Infiltration of the Enemy Would Be Prevented with an Effective Monitoring System: Abrahamyan
National Assembly 'I Have Honor' faction secretary Tigran Abrahamyan wrote on his Facebook page: 'In 2015, a year that already seems distant, when the deployment of monitoring systems along the Artsakh-Azerbaijan contact line began, it had specific calculations. Where to place the system, what type of camera to use, what parameters to follow, and so on.
The main issue was to ensure that regardless of geographical location or terrain, there would be no more than 10 km of uncontrolled territory behind enemy lines along the contact line. Later, monitoring capabilities were significantly increased, and the system underwent several phases of modernization, which not only provided greater efficiency in preventing enemy movements and advances but also facilitated appropriate reconnaissance activities.
Let’s not forget that artillery units were able to quickly calculate and strike targets using this system. My point is that under effective monitoring conditions in Artsakh, many issues would be resolved, and enemy infiltration would be prevented.
Currently, the Defense Army has this system; however, there is significant work to be done to enhance its effectiveness and elevate oversight capabilities to an appropriate level. By directing available resources and means in the right direction according to priorities, it will be possible to minimize human and territorial losses.'
