Turkey Will Not Take Sides: Erdogan on Military Conflicts
Turkey will not take the side of any country in military conflicts, including the Ukrainian conflict. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a broadcast on Turkish television, as reported by CNN Turk.
“I want to address the nation. Turkey will not easily and simply take the side of any country in military conflicts. Turkey will always stand for peace, will defend it, and will take steps to strengthen global peace. The essence of our problem lies in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict,” Erdogan said.
He added that currently, Turkey produces all the necessary weapons independently and can fully secure itself in the event of a potential military conflict.
