When Seeing Fireworks, We Must Understand That It Is a Holiday in the Republic of Armenia: Gabrielian
Member of the Civil Contract faction Sisak Gabrielian proposes to regulate the production, import, and trade of pyrotechnic materials. Presenting the package of amendments and additions to the law on licensing at the National Assembly, Gabrielian stated, "In other words, if there are fireworks in the Republic of Armenia, it will be either on community or state significance holidays. Of course, it would be ideal for this law to lead to that, because, unfortunately, not only in Armenia but in all countries, there are illegal circulation of certain banned products. However, I believe that the adoption of this law will result in an actual reduction of more than 90 percent. And when we see fireworks, we must understand that it is a holiday in the Republic of Armenia or that a significant event has been organized with the participation of the state or community," said Gabrielian.
Regarding first and second class pyrotechnic products (e.g., Bengal fire), the MP noted that their import and sale will continue without any restrictions. "Only certain requirements will be introduced regarding their storage and transportation," Gabrielian concluded.
