US State Department Discusses Blinken's Phone Conversation with Aliyev
The US State Department has issued an official statement regarding the phone conversation between Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
It was noted that Blinken called Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to offer further US assistance in facilitating bilateral peace negotiations with Armenia.
Secretary Blinken urged for solutions to unresolved issues and emphasized that there is no military solution to the conflict. He affirmed the importance of reopening the Lachin corridor for trade and private vehicles.
Secretary Blinken stated that the US expects to continue cooperation with Azerbaijan in the peace process.
