Erdogan Nominated as Presidential Candidate
The current President of Turkey and the unified candidate from the 'Republican Alliance,' Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has officially been nominated as a presidential candidate for the elections on May 14.
Representatives from the ruling 'Justice and Development' Party and the 'Nationalist Movement' Party, which is part of the alliance, have submitted the relevant application to the Supreme Electoral Council.
The presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey are scheduled for May 14. Erdogan's main opponent is Kemal Kilicdaroglu.
