Aliyev and Blinken Discuss the Situation Surrounding the Lachin Corridor
The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken have held a telephone conversation to discuss the situation surrounding the Lachin Corridor.
During the conversation, the situation on the Lachin-Stepanakert road was addressed. Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan is "fully committed to the peace agenda, ready to normalize relations with Armenia in the near future, and has presented the text of the peace treaty to the Armenian side with the latest proposals and amendments."
He added that he appreciates the efforts of the United States and Secretary of State Antony Blinken in this regard. Blinken reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to the resolution of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the signing of a peace treaty.
The phone call was initiated by the American side.
