Sweden's Counterterrorism Measures Insufficient: Cavusoglu
Turkey considers Sweden's counterterrorism measures insufficient for approving its NATO application. This statement was made by Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, according to Russian media.
It is noteworthy that earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that Turkey is ready to start the ratification process for Finland's NATO membership.
“Finland has taken concrete steps to meet the conditions of the memorandum necessary for joining the alliance. We are ready and have decided to begin the ratification process for Finland's NATO membership. We are confident that Finland will play an active role in ensuring the security of the alliance,” emphasized the Turkish leader.
