The Number of Laboratory Confirmed Cases of Measles Has Reached 43
As of 10:00 AM on March 9, the number of laboratory confirmed cases of measles in the Republic of Armenia has reached 43. Among them, 17 individuals are hospitalized, 15 have not been hospitalized, and 11 have been discharged. The health condition of the patients is assessed as moderate, while 2 cases are classified as severe.
Out of the 43 infected individuals, 40 are unvaccinated, and 3 have received one dose of the vaccine. It is important to note that, according to the national immunization schedule, measles vaccinations are recommended for children at ages 1 and 4-6.
Parents of children who have not received planned vaccinations against measles are urged to visit their local polyclinic and have their children vaccinated. Additionally, individuals who have been in contact with measles patients and who do not have two doses of the measles vaccine are also advised to get vaccinated.
