The Number of Laboratory-Confirmed Measles Cases Reaches 20 in Armenia's Ministry of Health
As of 10:00 AM, the number of laboratory-confirmed cases of measles has reached 20, with 18 citizens hospitalized and 1 discharged. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.
The health condition of the patients is assessed as moderate severity. Of the infected individuals, 19 are unvaccinated, and 1 is partially vaccinated (having received 1 dose).
It is recalled that vaccinations against measles are scheduled for children at 1 and 6 years of age according to the national vaccination calendar. Parents of children who have not received routine measles vaccinations are urged to visit a registration polyclinic and vaccinate their children.
Additionally, individuals who have come into contact with measles patients and have not received 2 doses of the measles vaccine are also required to get vaccinated.
