Apple Suspends Warranty Service for MacBook and iPad in Russia
Apple has suspended warranty service for MacBook and iPad devices in Russia. According to several service centers and Apple support centers, this decision has been prompted by import restrictions affecting Russia, including limitations on spare parts.
Authorized Apple support and service centers emphasized that this is not a complete shutdown but rather a temporary suspension; however, they cannot specify when operations might resume.
Warranty service for iPhone devices continues to operate as usual. Meanwhile, re:Store, a company selling Apple products, has stated that they will continue to provide warranty services for MacBooks and iPads purchased from them, "as required by law." In a conversation with Интерфакс, one service center also advised to contact the seller for warranty service in case of any incidents.
Following the large-scale invasion of Ukraine, Apple, like many other foreign companies, has ceased operations in the Russian market. Notably, the Apple Pay payment system has also stopped functioning in Russia, and sales have been halted in the corporation's official online store.
