Toivo Klaar Arrives in Armenia Today
According to the daily newspaper "Zhoghovurd," special representative of the EU for the South Caucasus and crisis issues, Toivo Klaar, will arrive in Armenia today. As per our information, he will have a meeting with the high leadership of Armenia.
It is noteworthy that the last time Toivo Klaar visited Armenia was a month ago, on January 23. At that time, he made a note saying, "One-day meetings – back to Yerevan. The situation around the Lachin corridor is serious, and urgent solutions need to be found."
Our newspaper has learned that the purposes of this visit to Armenia also include discussions related to the EU mission, in addition to addressing the situation created around Lachin. As is known, on February 21, the EU officially announced the launch of a civilian observation mission in Armenia. The headquarters of the EU mission is located in Yeghgnadzor and is composed of 100 observers.
