«I Don't Think He Thinks That Way Now»: Biden on Putin
In the ongoing war, Russian President Vladimir Putin's goal is the complete destruction of the Ukrainian state. This was stated by U.S. President Joe Biden during a recent press conference, as reported by CNN.
“We know that difficult days, weeks, and years are ahead. Putin's aim is to erase Ukraine from the map,” Biden said.
The U.S. president reiterated his commitment to support Ukraine as much as necessary. “The Russian economy is crumbling, it is isolated, and facing difficulties,” he added.
Biden pointed out that Ukraine was previously weak, and the West was fragmented, which was what Putin relied on. “He thought he could outlast us, I don't think he thinks that way now,” he stated.
It is noteworthy that on February 20, U.S. President Joe Biden made an unannounced visit to Kyiv.
