Heavy Vehicles Prohibited from Entering Certain Streets in Yerevan
In Yerevan, the installation of new garbage bins has commenced in the city’s stop zones. During the regular working meeting, it was reported that approximately 1,000 bins will be installed as part of this initiative.
Using road signs, the entry of heavy vehicles will be prohibited on certain streets in Yerevan. The program will start from the small center, and the leaders of administrative districts have been tasked with compiling a list of affected streets.
Organizations operating in the essential services sector often fail to maintain proper sanitary conditions and comply with safety regulations during emergency recovery operations. It has been ordered to identify addresses based on permits granted by the municipality and to keep the process under constant supervision.
To ensure safe passenger transportation via the metro and to improve further operations, several programs are being implemented. The process of modernizing 14 ventilation systems is underway, with 66 wooden and 4 rail components replaced during the reporting period.
Significant renovation work has been carried out this year in the community budget-funded sports school of children's and youth complex sports in Shengavit, Yerevan. Additionally, a cooling system will be installed at the sports center this year.
To prevent further pollution of the Yerevan lake, collector grids will be added on the Hrazdan River. The process of transporting accumulated waste will be included in the annual cleaning program for the river, ensuring that cleaning operations are conducted regularly.
A modern vehicle washing station will be established to ensure the sanitary condition and cleanliness of trolleybuses and new community buses. It has been reported that the station will be operational in a few days.
By the end of February, Yerevan will also receive 15 new and modern trolleybuses.
