Number of Aftershocks Registered in Turkey Following Devastating Earthquake Revealed
Following the earthquake that occurred on February 6 in Turkey, with its epicenter in Kahramanmaraş province (historically known as Marash), there have been 2 recorded earthquakes and approximately 4,000 aftershocks, which have also been felt in neighboring regions, reports Ermenihaber.
According to data from Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), an aftershock with a magnitude of 5.1 was registered in Hatay province at a depth of 9.26 km. In Malatya, there was a magnitude 4 aftershock at a depth of 10 km, in Elazığ a magnitude 4.8 aftershock at a depth of 11 km, and in Kahramanmaraş a magnitude 4 aftershock at a depth of 6 km.
