Russian Ambassador Summoned by Moldova's Foreign Ministry, Reason Revealed
The Russian ambassador, Oleg Vasnetsov, has been summoned to Moldova's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration regarding reports of a missile flying over the republic's territory. This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, as reported by the Sputnik Moldova Telegram channel.
"The head of Moldova's diplomacy has ordered the urgent summoning of the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, Oleg Vasnetsov, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Chișinău to address the unacceptable violation of our airspace by a Russian missile," the ministry stated.
Ministry spokesperson Daniel Vodă also noted that Chișinău resolutely rejects the recent unfriendly actions and statements towards the republic. Just the day before, information surfaced about a potential missile flight over Moldova. The Ministry of Defence of Moldova confirmed reports of a violation of the country’s airspace.
