Peskov Comments on Biden's Speech: 'We Are Perceived as Adversaries'
Russia's presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has stated that U.S. President Joe Biden clearly remarked in his speech on February 8 that the United States continues to remain "hostile" towards Russia.
"The United States perceives us as an adversary," he told reporters.
Peskov's comments follow Biden's earlier declaration that U.S. authorities are fully committed to supporting Ukraine.
The day before, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken referred to the continuation of military assistance to Ukraine as the best way to expedite a diplomatic resolution to the conflict.
Additionally, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder announced that U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley will hold a meeting next week in Brussels with the Western coalition providing military aid to Kyiv.
