U.S. and Azerbaijani Ambassadors Discuss Lachin Corridor at NATO
Representatives of the United States and Azerbaijan, Julian Smith and Jafar Huseynzade, have discussed the situation in the South Caucasus at NATO.
As Huseynzade wrote on Twitter, they exchanged views on various topics, including NATO-Azerbaijan partnership, contributions to international peace and security, U.S.-Azerbaijan bilateral relations, the process of resolving issues between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the situation around the Lachin corridor, and other regional issues of mutual interest.
“We discussed the recent deliberate terrorist attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran on January 27. In this regard, I welcome the unconditional and prompt support provided to Azerbaijan by U.S. officials,” stated Huseynzade.
