Chinese Red Cross to Send $200,000 to Turkey and Syria
The Chinese Red Cross will send $200,000 to Turkey and Syria to support rescue operations following a powerful earthquake that claimed thousands of lives, as reported by РИА Новости.
“The Chinese Red Cross has decided to allocate $200,000 to both the Turkish Red Crescent and the Syrian Red Crescent as urgent humanitarian aid to assist those affected by the disaster and to support rescue operations,” the statement reads.
Earlier, the president of the Chinese Red Cross, Chen Jun, sent condolence telegrams to the Red Crescent organizations in Turkey and Syria.
“The Chinese Red Cross will continue to monitor the situation and will provide additional humanitarian assistance if necessary,” added the president of the Red Cross.
