Trucks Overturn Due to Black Ice, Blocking Road

On February 5, at 06:39, the Vayots Dzor Regional Crisis Management Center received a report that a truck with a trailer had overturned, blocking one side of the Chiva-Yelpina road. This information was communicated by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.

A firefighting-rescue unit from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that on the 98-99 km section of the Yerevan-Meghri road, a truck with a trailer of brand 'Iveco' (driver: H.P.) and a 'Zil 130' truck (driver: Zh.M.) had overturned due to black ice, blocking the road on one side.

The rescuers, in collaboration with employees of 'RAFAELGRIG' LLC, managed to remove the vehicles and one passenger from the blockade, and the road is now passable in both directions.
