VIDEO. Inspections to Be Conducted in All Shopping Centers Sequentially, Says Vahan Kerobyan
Recently, we faced two unfortunate incidents—the incidents in Surmalu and the village of Azat serve as a basis for us to monitor compliance with standards. This was stated by the Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan during a conversation with reporters, addressing the closure of the "Malatia" marketplace.
“We need to ensure that all security norms are maintained in such facilities. The most sensible decision has been made within the framework of the law, as those who work there have been provided with poor working conditions. There are shopping centers nearby, where they can easily find a place and continue their activities. I believe that all markets should be inspected so that we can improve the quality of life for people. These individuals have worked there for years, and sooner or later this day was going to come; it’s better that this day has arrived, rather than a day like that of the ‘Surmalu’ incident,” the minister stated.
Kerobyan noted that inspections will be carried out sequentially in all shopping centers.
