You say, what are the authorities doing that the Lachin corridor is closed, why don't you go to war, gather troops, and go open the Lachin corridor, but what does it mean to sit back and lose Armenia completely? This was mentioned by the MP from the Civil Contract faction, Gagik Melkonyan, in an interview with Mediahab.am.

“Is it better to lose Artsakh or Armenia? Let me ask you a question. Go to Van, Kars, Ardahan, go tell them this is my homeland, isn't Kars yours 100 years ago?” he stated, addressing the journalist.

Regarding the question of whether we are abandoning Artsakh, the MP responded that, of course, we are not giving up on Artsakh, but we must be able to approach Artsakh in a way that does not harm either Artsakh or Armenia.

“The Lachin corridor will be opened; all international organizations are currently working on this,” he said.

In response to observations about living in fear, he noted, “You can live in fear continuously, just as we have lived for the past four years. We lived in fear, and these authorities came and showed us who our real friends are.”
