No Way to Stop This, Mr. Mayor: Head of Arabkir Administrative District

As previously reported, a working meeting is underway at the Yerevan city hall. Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan, addressing the head of the Arabkir administrative district, Aram Azatyan, inquired, "We have had a problem in the Koreakan Gorge, right? They've brought more construction debris and dumped it again?"

Azatyan responded, "There is a citizen who is repeating the same action for the third time. He is building an illegal structure; we have demolished it, but he apparently did the same thing again about a month ago, and it has been erected again."

In response to the Mayor's suggestion to install a camera, the head of the Arabkir administrative district remarked, "This is not the issue; it’s not just about bringing construction debris, but rather he is… it’s another matter altogether. He is building a house on community land; his house has been demolished twice… we demolish it, and he rebuilds it. There are three brothers involved, and one of them has mental health issues. Mr. Mayor, we are unable to stop this by any means… we are cooperating with the police."

Hrachya Sargsyan suggested discussing the issue separately.
