“Evaluations No Longer Satisfy Us, It Is Necessary to Move to Actions”: Kristine Grigoryan
The Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Kristine Grigoryan, addressed international evaluations regarding Azerbaijan's closure of the Lachin corridor. She emphasized that clear actions are also necessary.
“International key actors and organizations have issued direct and targeted evaluations. The ongoing blockade supports the assertion that evaluations no longer satisfy us, as the situation does not change. It is necessary to move to actions. In particular, I have called on the UN Human Rights Council to send a fact-finding mission to the Lachin corridor to understand the situation on the ground and to have a basis for its conclusions,” stated Grigoryan.
According to Grigoryan, information regarding the situation should be presented to the UN Security Council by specialized UN organizations.
