Both Yerevan and Baku's Consent Needed to Grant UN Mandate to Peacekeepers, Peskov
Russian peacekeepers stationed in Nagorno-Karabakh require both Armenia and Azerbaijan's approval to be granted a UN mandate, as well as for the potential involvement of international forces. This was announced to reporters by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia.
“International peacekeepers can be involved if both sides of the conflict agree to it. And this is not only Armenia but also Azerbaijan,” emphasized Peskov.
