Russia Could Not Be As Cynical As Western Countries, Putin Says
In the context of the Ukrainian crisis, Russia could not be as cynical as Western countries, said Russian President Vladimir Putin. During a broadcast of "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin," he noted that the Russian Federation has a different philosophy and a different attitude towards life and people.
Putin also cited expert opinions that delve into the moral values of Eastern Christianity, Western Christianity, and Islam, which speak of the stark cultural differences between Russia and the West. "They cannot. We have a different philosophy and a different attitude towards life and people. Look at those who have immersed themselves in the moral values of Eastern Christianity, Western Christianity, and Islam; they have always said that we have different approaches. In general, there is a more materialistic approach and a definition of success in the material part of life. But we have a spiritual approach," Putin said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.
