Why aren’t we going to the Lachin corridor, not taking pictures there, not cutting ribbons, or announcing the mayoral candidate from there? I understand that it is dangerous there, and you might get 'wired' from there. This was stated today, December 20, at the extraordinary session of the Yerevan City Council by council member Ernest Avanesov, who left the 'My Step' faction after signing the capitulation declaration.

He urged to imagine the situation of relatives of a 4-month-old child fighting a severe illness in Stepanakert. Avanesov noted that Artsakh is facing a humanitarian crisis. 'Perhaps the Azerbaijanis and Russians have closed the road, and we are not to blame at all. The Armenian authorities said that they would not use water cannons to disperse the rallies. I think there is a need to use water cannons in the Lachin corridor now. If you think that the lights of Yerevan's main Christmas tree will overshadow people's memories and distract them from their pain, I assure you, that is not the case. I am not appealing to international organizations, but only to the authorities of Armenia and Artsakh and urging them to do everything possible to open the road. Artsakh is Armenia, and Shushi is not a gloomy city; you are the gloomy ones. There is a future, but without you,' emphasized Avanesov.
