VIDEO: What Mirzoyan and Klaar Discussed
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, met with the European Union's Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, Toivo Klaar, on December 8. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mirzoyan and Klaar exchanged thoughts on the development of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the recent developments regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, as well as the border demarcation process and the unblocking of regional transport infrastructures.
"Ararat Mirzoyan noted that the Armenian side is committed to its position of establishing peace and stability in the region, emphasizing that Azerbaijan's ongoing provocative actions and maximalist rhetoric lead to the escalation of the fragile security situation. The interlocutors also addressed the activities of the EU observer mission in Armenia and highlighted its significance," the statement said.
