Croatia to Join Schengen Zone as EU Countries Approve Membership
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković has announced on his social media microblog that EU countries have officially approved Croatia's accession to the Schengen Zone today.
Earlier reports indicated that discussions regarding Bulgaria and Romania’s accession to the Schengen Zone are being delayed due to the positions of several countries dissatisfied with the situation related to migration control in the two candidate countries.
In particular, they cited the statements of Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer, who argued that Bulgaria and Romania should not be admitted until their issues are resolved.
