Authorities Struggle to Locate Warehouse Manager of 'Surmalu' Shopping Center
The newspaper 'Joghourt' reports: Soon it will be four months since the explosion at the 'Surmalu' shopping center, but the major players have yet to be held accountable. According to information from 'Joghourt', the investigation authority has interrogated the owner of the 'Surmalu' shopping center, Razmik Zakaryan, but they have been unable to locate the warehouse manager of the shopping center.
'Joghourt' addressed the Investigative Committee of Armenia to understand the situation regarding the criminal case, and whether the owner has been interrogated and what his status is. In response, the Investigative Committee informed 'Joghourt' that the investigation into the explosion at the 'Surmalu' shopping center is ongoing, many individuals have been interrogated, including the owner, and the conclusion of the appointed expert examination has not yet been received. Currently, four individuals have the status of defendants, two of whom are under pretrial detention. There is no one wanted in connection with this case.
It should be noted that three of the four defendants are individuals operating the warehouse, while the fourth is the deputy director of 'Surmalu', who is at liberty.
Recall that on August 14, an explosion occurred at the 'Surmalu' shopping center, resulting in the death of 16 people, and one more is considered missing.
