Ursula von der Leyen Deletes Information on Ukraine's 120,000 Casualties from Twitter
The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, has deleted a certain segment of her message from her Twitter microblog that stated that since the beginning of the war, the Ukrainian armed forces have lost 100,000 people. She also mentioned that more than 20,000 civilians have died.
Currently, the video published on the EU official's microblog only states that Russia must answer for its horrific crimes. “For this reason, with support for the International Criminal Court, we propose to establish a specialized court that will have the support of the UN and will investigate and condemn the crimes of Russian aggression,” the EU official said.
It is worth reminding that in June, the Office of the President of Ukraine reported that they estimate their military losses at around 10,000. Simultaneously, the head of the president's office, Mikhail Podolyak, stated that 100 to 200 soldiers die daily. In August, the Ukrainian armed forces reported that approximately 9,000 Ukrainian soldiers had died in the past six months.
