“The Turkish-Azerbaijani Tandem is Preparing the Ground for a New Military Aggression”: Tovmasyan

The Chair of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Human Rights Protection and Public Affairs, independent MP Takhuhy Tovmasyan, is drafting urgent letters to her international counterparts, whom she recently alerted to the fact that the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem is preparing the ground for a new military aggression.

This was announced by Tovmasyan on her Facebook page.

“Azerbaijan continues to violate international agreements, leading to injuries. Today, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces violated the ceasefire in the western direction by using firearms and AGN-17 grenade launchers. As a result of the enemy's ceasefire violations, soldiers H.A. and M.V. of the Defense Army were injured. Azerbaijan's criminal behavior is of a continuous nature. I again alert all relevant international bodies—impunity leads to new crimes by Azerbaijan against the peaceful population of Artsakh, and therefore there is an urgent need for the international community to activate appropriate legal-political mechanisms to protect the right to life of the peaceful population of Artsakh,” she wrote.
