Qatar Refuses to Accept Germany's National Team Plane Due to LGBT Symbols
Qatar has refused to accept the plane of the German national team due to LGBT symbols. This was reported by the Arab portal Mkalaty. The reason for the refusal was the depiction of several men on the Lufthansa airline's aircraft. Authorities in the Islamic state associated the image with the promotion of homosexuality, which is unacceptable in the country. After the rejection, the German airline's plane flew to Oman, from where the German athletes returned to Qatar on a local airline's aircraft.
It is noteworthy that on November 20, at 8 PM Yerevan time, the 2022 World Cup was inaugurated with a match between Qatar and Ecuador at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, located 50 kilometers north of the Qatari capital, Doha.
