Biden's Assistant Advises Zelensky to Adopt a Realistic Stance Before Negotiations with Russia
During a recent meeting, U.S. President Biden's assistant Sullivan suggested to Zelensky to consider 'realistic' positions regarding negotiations on Ukraine, as reported by The Wall Street Journal citing diplomatic sources.
According to the publication, discussions could particularly focus on Kyiv's stance concerning the status of Crimea.
Earlier, Politico reported that the U.S. administration encouraged the Ukrainian president to exclude the point regarding the impossibility of negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin from the list of conditions for initiating dialogue. The publication notes that this change in stance is 'directly linked to the gentle nudging from President Joe Biden's administration.'
