Azerbaijanis Build Road Near Jermuk in Occupied Territories: Tatoyan
Azerbaijanis are currently in areas that put targets such as the Tatev Hydroelectric Power Plant, the Jermuk Hydroelectric Power Plant, the Kapan tailing dump, and other similar strategically important security areas under threat. It is clear that if anything were to happen to the aforementioned sites, it could have catastrophic consequences for our settlements.
This was stated by Arman Tatoyan, the director of the Center for Law and Justice 'Tatoyan' Foundation, during a press conference held recently. The conference presented the results of fact-finding efforts related to the armed incursion of Azerbaijani forces into Armenian territory on September 13-14, 2022, and ongoing violations.
“I can speak with facts, and that is exactly what I will do. I will now show photographs that will display the road constructed by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the occupied territories immediately adjacent to Jermuk. This is a concrete road. We have thoroughly studied how they are constructing this road. They are bringing stones from mines and various locations, crushing them, and filling the roads. Then they mix the stones with cement to ensure these roads are ready for winter. They are clearly preparing for the winter, and our research indicates these roads are approximately 10-12 meters wide. These are the same roads we announced last year when we stated that Azerbaijan is constructing illegal roads in the Gegharkunik region. Now they are doing the same in the Jermuk area,” he added.
