Americans Mock Election Wins of Deceased Congress Members
Americans have mocked the election victories of two candidates who died before the elections. It has been reported that two Democrats, who passed away prior to the voting, have been reelected to the House of Representatives.
Former Congressman Anthony DeLuca from Pennsylvania, who died on October 9 at the age of 85, received 85% of the votes. Tennessee Representative Barbara Cooper, aged 93, who died on October 25, also 'won' her election.
Americans are questioning how many deceased candidates have won congressional elections.
It should be noted that preliminary results of the congressional elections were published at 06:30 Yerevan time. In the House of Representatives (435 seats), the Republican Party will have 207 seats, while the Democratic Party will have 184. In the Senate (100 seats), the Republican Party will hold 48 seats, and the Democratic Party will also have 48 seats. A runoff election will be held in Georgia as no candidate garnered 50% of the votes.
